Experience

Hugo holds a Bachelor in administration from the University of Ottawa and undertook his career as an adviser with the National Bank. In 2009, he decided to pursue his studies by completing a Master’s degree in tax law at the University of Sherbrooke.

His practice focuses on supporting SMEs and their managers to help maximize their tax situations. Hugo also holds permits as a mutual funds representative and as an adviser in financial security. Therefore, he has expert knowledge in investment and personal insurance matters, enabling him to properly advise clients in their overall planning process.

In addition to his duties with Groupe Conseil Fisca, Hugo is currently a lecturer at the Institut québécois de planification financière (IQPF), where he teaches taxation to future financial planners.

Experience

Maxime Robert holds a law degree and a Master’s degree from the University of Ottawa. He also successfully completed a Master’s degree in tax law at the University of Sherbrooke.

His diversified training allowed him to develop significant expertise in corporate and tax restructuring. In fact, in his daily functions, he is often called on to advise SME managers about legal and tax matters, in Quebec and in Ontario. Additionally, he frequently collaborates with colleagues, whether notaries, lawyers or accountants, providing them with advice and tips on more complex legal and tax matters.

Maxime is also called on to draft trust deeds and complex will trusts, which are adapted to the specific situation of each client. He also acts as a representative with the Canada Revenue Agency and the Quebec Revenue Agency in several cases where notices of assessment are being contested.

Along with his duties with Groupe Conseil Fisca, Maxime is currently a lecturer at the University of Ottawa in the Master of law program, concentration in notarial law and is a member of the Chamber of Commerce of the Outaouais region.
